die pearl of Germany
Come take a peek through your monitor at my life please, its only going from better to best. Just like promised Christoph took me in circles and up stairs and through doorways and even peeked down from heaven for a few minutes. I'll tell you the black forest is a really dark black and this city is blowing my mind with the infinite little details of beauty, like looking at a little baby, but a couple hundred years older. Dear friends it is really fucking cool what lies in the cubic miles around the world, I can see what Janos and Christoph ment when they "missed their Germany" when we were hopping around Thai Thai. Speaking of, my understanding of German is, in small tiny increments, getting better, reading especially well. See dad this is an educational trip.
In our new explorations we came to Munster Cathedral and I will bless you with a few photos that dont allow you to really feel it but please try! To get to the very top to the bells we had to climb up and up the narrowest, windiest, sweatiest, holiest staircase....IN THE WORLD. ANNDDDDDDD....it was very much worth it and I would like to build one in the United States very soon, Senator Locke. There was also a holy service in which we participated in by singing. It was probably the silliest thing I have ever heard, in fact when you see the picture down below imagine a couple hundred German people singing Cyndi Lauper songs, the holiest of holy! Fully done with that place jesus christ we got ourselves some bratwurst. I give thanks every day I eat one for the work the animals must have done to make themselves so delicious.
The adventure was good, so was the the company, and most of all the conversations. Christoph is a very good friend of mine and it will be a very heavy moment to say goodbye. Good thing we are Europeans and don't cry. Right? Right!!!!
well on to potatoes. I bought some food and a few other things because i was determined to make dinner for the family. To put a meal together requires a good workout first becuase you cannot get all of the ingredients in one place. Meat stores, spice store, produce market, ...candy store. WHEW. Dinner was a good one. Fried up some kufteta with some of Chris' potatoes. Did you know another name for Germans is Kartofel. hahahahhsaushuahsuahdasdak. Bad joke we made up for it and bought some good beer. Even though we were going to "take it easy" and drink only a few beers at a bar we underestimated our energy and intentions. A few old friends of my guests took us on an adventure to.........a British Pop club!!! alright!! Only good friends can save some places. Either way it ended and we bought additional beer and pretzels from some drive through and walked a long way home in order to avoid the superior and efficient Freiburg public tram system? Long live Deutchland.
today brings everything quiet
